Voicethreads

I have just discovered voicethreads and the endless possibilities for education. This a basically a threaded discussion with an image. A voice thread sits on a website and viewers can come and comment on what you have posted. To begin a voice thread choose an image to post .It may be a book you have read or a math problem solution. After you have chosen the image choose an avatar that will represent you or post a photo of yourself. This will appear everytime you post a comment. When you record you will see your comment appear around the edg of the image. More comments will appear as people visist your voicethread. www.voicethread.com

The ITRT Blog

Welcome to the ITRT Blog. Why ITRT you ask ? Well it is my job title and it stands for Instructional Technology Resource Teacher.  My school Board has created an initiative to support teachers integrating technology in their classroom and part of that support involves myself and several colleagues being available to plan lessons and co teach using technology in their classroom or lab settings.

Through this blog I hope to collaborate with others in my role and also get ideas from teachers about how they use technology and how I can make it more accessible for students. I also hope to become a better blogger and so help teachers creating blogs for their classes. I also want to test out a few ideas here so come along for the ride.
